Joyce
Joyce or as my kids will call her, Pastor Joyce Facebooked me and asked if I could take her pictures for a website and business cards, of course I said “heck ya”, why not! She had a theme in mind, she wanted DOORS! Now, I will never look at a door as a door anymore!
We went to Old Sacramento because there are lots of ‘DOORS’ in Old Sacramento! Lots of ornate doors that will work just great for what Joyce has envisioned for her new website and business cards. Joyce wanted doors because her theme was ‘opening doors to new opportunities’. I have known Joyce as the children’s pastor at my church, Harvest Church. She really is heaven sent! She has the gift of teaching children the word of God in a very fun environment. My children have always loved going to Kids Zone at the church. Joyce made learning about God and how to be a servant of God to the children so fun that when I took my own kids to church, they never complained that it was boring when they knew they were going to Kids Zone.
Now Joyce has a new chapter in her life, she is going to be a Missionary in Southeast Asia. I am very happy for her new chapter and sad that she will be leaving the church. Joyce has made an impact on my children and I am so sure her impact in Southeast Asia is going to be phenomenal!
Joyce, you will be missed, thank you for being the first pastor my kids ever had, thank you for teaching them about God, and most of all, THANK YOU for being the person who led my kids to accept God as their personal savior! I am so glad you chose me to photograph you, because I now have these beautiful pictures of you. You have made such a positive impact on our lives that I will never forget you!
