Adriana and Jeremy

February14

From Paris with LOVE! If only we can just go to Paris to take this beautiful couples pictures! Maybe someday!

Thank you Jessica Bondi for your awesome make-up work! Adrianna is just stunning! A natural beauty already, you just made her look even more breathtaking! Oh yes Jeremy, I can’t forget about you! Without you Jeremy there wouldn’t be this couple who is just so in LOVE! You have met your dream woman and she is just amazing and perfect!

Taking your pictures was just a blast! From your outfit changes to your giggly noises you make being in LOVE easy and PRICELESS! I was having such a blast, that I was having a hard time keeping my hands still and my composure behind the camera. Perhaps the most memorable moment was when we got in trouble by a California Highway officer who took advantage of his position by yelling at us for no apparent reason! We were not breaking any laws, we were clearly on the side where the public is allowed to stand! CHP officers like him gives the department a bad name. Besides that moment…everything else was great!

Adrianna and Jeremy, you guys rock as couple! May this session be the beginning of many photo sessions together. Thank you for being an adorable model!

Happy Anniversary! 1.11.11 1 Year in the Business!

January12

Today I celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Mitchi Photography.  This day just creeped up on me, I didn’t realize until today at 10:45 am that I had officially registered Mitchi Photography as a new business with the County of Sacramento and got my business license with the City of Elk Grove.  For the past few days I kept wanting to look at my receipt from County of Sacramento to determine the date.  I didn’t do it until this morning when I got home from the gym; and never realized that my 1 year anniversary would fall on a special date.  I hope that I will be blessed continually because this is what I love to do, capturing every moment of everyday life.  As I write this blog, I havent even thought about what picture to blog because I was not prepared for this special day of my business.  I wanted to post some of my favorite shots of the year, but that just might be way too many pictures.  So, I decided to just do it because these are the pictures that made Mitchi Photography in the first year…

But before I do that, I just want to thank everyone for being so supportive of my craft. Without my friends, family and customers,  who believed in me I don’t think I’d be writing this blog.

I do believe that dreams, big or small do come true.  This has been my lifelong dream to become a photographer, ever since the 7th grade shooting with the best camera I thought in those days, a Pentax K-1000.  I was always scared to learn all I needed to learn about this profession, thinking that I was never creative enough to become one.  I was wrong.  I had the creativity, I just needed to develop it.  It came later in life, because I never trusted myself to succeed in photography, so I made other things matter more.  However, I never let the passion for  photography fade, I always kept it alive by  always owning camera.  Then, when I had my first child, the passion came alive and it never went away.

I got my first very own SLR in 1999 when my son Sinjun was born, a Canon Rebel.  I spent a lot of money on film and developing until I upgraded to a digital Canon Rebel in 2003. It was at this time that I was not scared of taking shots, because I did not have to buy film and develop the pictures just to view them.  In 2007 I saved enough money to buy another camera, a Canon 40d.  I shot with this camera until 2010 when I finally broke down and bought a Canon 5d Mark II and Canon 7d (for my kids sports); I also got some professional lenses to go with the camera.

I landed my first wedding gig in 2009, shooting my step-daughters wedding.  After that day, I was hooked in doing wedding photography and portraits. So with my eyes closed and the attitude of “que sera sera” and knowing that God always has a special plan for me, I made it official last year to make this a business venture. I have not regretted this decision.

I even got to photograph some famous people this year.  I feel like PAPARAZZI!  The most famous…………Justin Bieber in concert!

The photos I am posting are in no particular order, just posing pictures I wanted to highlight my first year as Mitchi Photography!

This is my most favorite of ALL!
